I just found these two beauties in a second-hand shop. A wonderful blue organ, Galanti Apollo, and a wonderful tube amp, a Davoli Studio B. Both are Italian stuff from the end of the sixties, I believe...
They were supposed not to be working (and in fact they are) but I managed to lower the price down to 30 Euros for both and decided to take this big "risk"... The Organ says "Galanti" in pink, and there's a small plexiglass lectern with "Apollo" on it. It lights up but no sounds at all. I need to open and inspect what might be wrong... I didn't try to power the Amp up. I opened it, cleaned a bit on the inside and ispected the capacitor, which is a 400 Volts 100 microfarads, I think it will need replacement. But before that cleaning and drying the moisture form the inside is needed...
If anyone has schematics or can provide any info on this couple please contact me at info [at] autodafe [dot] net |

I have opened a new Website, it's a Web Channel devoted to Videos of Analog Synthesizers.
Check it out: www.synths.tv and feel free to browse thru the videos and leave comments on the forum |
I have recorded some samples of the EKO Dream Box 15, an old Italian Drum Machine of the pre-midi, pre-digital-samples era. The DreamBox 15 contains the usual rhythms (Waltz, March, FoxTrot, ChaCha...). I have taken these samples directly in SoundForge and converted them with Recycle to REX Format, for use in Reason or any other software that supports it... There are 14 Samples in total.
Completely Free, do whatever you like with them. Please provide original link to this page or site if distributing.

I have put togheter a simple tutorial on "how to make a bass sound" using Tone2 Firebird. It's a short video that shows you some of the capabilities of this nice synth. At least it demonstrates that I don't use the "random" function to create my own presets |
I have just received my Reason 4 Upgrade today, and I made a (very) small demo using Thor (This is really a nice synth) a ReDrum and a Combinator Groove
