Autodafe is not a multi-million company. It's just me.
My real name is Antonio, I live near Milan in the North of Italy.
I was born in 1972 (you do the math about my age), started learning music at the age of 10, when my parents bought my first classical guitar and paid me a couple of years of guitar lessons.
In the meanwhile I also practiced some keyboards on toy keyboards and the smallest Yamahas.
At the age of 16 I formed my first band, we quicly became quite popular in our area and when the contract with an independent label was really close... the band broke up. Today many bands who originally signed with that label are quite famous bands here...
I always played both guitars and keayboards (I don't excel in either one, sadly ;-) ) and sang. At 18 I got my first "serious" guitar, my trusty 1979 Stratocaster.
I also was a singer in a semi-professional choir for a while.
At the end of the '90s I started building my small home studio Using Emagic Logic on a PC, and never stopped since then. I quickly started collecting any kind of musical device: analog synths, drum machines, effects, guitars, guitar stomp boxes, amplifiers, combo organs.
At one point in my life I had about 75 guitars, 45 synths, countless effects and gadgets, 25 guitar amps and 25 combo organs. Too many to store in my house ;-)
Today I mainly use softsynths on my Mac, and I create samplesets for Kontakt as well as some VST.
I also manage a small record label, called Rox Records, specializing in Folk/Balfolk music.
